What Could Be More Pop Culture Than Nintendo?
Answer: Not much. If you were like me (and around the same age), you can remember seeing or hearing about Nintendo for the first time. Games that you can play at home that are more like the arcade and not near as pixelated as Atari or other systems. And what was that robot that came with the first release systems?! R.O.B. came with early release NES systems and you could use him for playing Gyromite and a few other random games. When it worked it was neat and fun, but there were a lot of little pieces that would get lost or broken. Small kids and small pieces don’t mix people. I can remember wanting one of these so bad, but they were like $200.00 in the J.C. Penny catalog when they first came out. That is a lot of coin for a kid who is 7. Todays dollars, that would be $400.00 or more. Sop basically you had to stand in lie at a friends house to try and play maybe once or twice.
A year after the initial release they started to make smaller package systems (without R.O.B.) and would cost between $110.00 and $150.00 depending if you wanted the zapper and 2 controllers as well as Duckhunt (action set as pictured). When the prices hit here, I was a lucky kid to have gotten one for Christmas. I’m not kidding when I say that I had a line of kids at my door wanting to come in and play Super Mario Bros. I had to lock the front door and only let in one kid at a time. It is crazy for me to sit here and think that this was a real scenario!
As They Grew
In 1989 after huge success with the NES Nintendo would start releasing new systems. The first being Gameboy which was one of the first handheld systems that you could change the games and small enough to transport around. From there they would release The Super Nintendo in 1992 which is considered for some to be their best system released to date. I easily spent hundreds of dollars on renting games for the NES and Super NES at my local movie store. After the Super NES came Gamecube, Nintendo 64, Wii, and a few other variants which all went on to have huge success (well, maybe not Gamecube).
Now The Re-Release!
So when I heard they were re-releasing the NES, I seriously felt like a little kid inside. Flash backs of hours of playing Final Fantasy and Zelda. What would this new system offer, how would it play, so many questions. Come to find out that it is a simple release. A lot like the Atari Flashbacks where they have 30 preprogramed games in the unit with no option to be able to use your old games on it. I think they missed out there personally. This is not to say that it won’t be fun. Just some of the game titles are awesome!
Here are the games that will come with the Mini:
- Balloon Fight
- Bubble Bobble
- Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest
- Donkey Kong
- Donkey Kong Jr.
- Double Dragon II: The Revenge
- Dr. Mario
- Final Fantasy
- Ghosts’n Goblins
- Ice Climber
- Kid Icarus
- Kirby’s Adventure
- Mario Bros.
- Mega Man 2
- Ninja Gaiden
- Punch-Out! Featuring Mr. Dream
- Super C
- Super Mario Bros.
- Super Mario Bros. 2
- Super Mario Bros. 3
- Tecmo Bowl
- The Legend of Zelda
- Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
What a list right! Not too shabby. Keep in mind the system does only come with one controller so you may have to go out and find a second which they are offering for $19.99. The Mini will cost $59.99 if you wait for more to be released. Right now the only ones available are for sale on Ebay for $200+. They purposely do this to drive supply and demand. It is stupid if you ask me.
So that is it. A flashback down memory lane! Let us know what you think about the new NES mini!
The closest thing I have seen to this idea was when Terry Clark did a small tour around the northwest and stopped in some pretty small towns where she had some audiences of only 75 people. That is crazy to think from a huge country star.
Back to Lady G, what a great idea and hopefully may spur on others to do the same and get back to a lot of core fans and let them realize that you are human and hear you in a little more toned down setting than a raging concert.
Keep up the good work as well as the great new music Lady G!
How To Use The Law Of Attraction In Business
How Can One Use The Law of Attraction in Business?
To be clear, the law of attraction in business is “that which is like unto itself, is drawn.” In other words, what you are drawn to is what you are like inside according to the secret.
There are several tips that will help such as making it clear what you want for your dream business. In addition, be a positive thinker. In other words, what you think about has the possibility of becoming actual things, events. For example, you may think that your business is slow and not progressing as you want it to. Instead of entertaining that thought, take time to catch up on jobs and make sure that everything is running smoothly and effectively.
Another tip is to visualize your business as you want it, as if you already have it. Think about your ideal business day and how you would spend your time. For example, visualize preparing for the next day, making sure your appointments are lined up and what projects you will be working on in the early morning. Then, prioritize your projects; those you want to finish early on and what you will work on the rest of the day.
Most importantly, surround yourself with positive people.
When you deal with positive people, it is easier to stay positive, too. Check out local networking events and also several online sites where you can connect with other like-minded people like a Facebook Group. Get together with other local business men and women who are creating or have already created their ideal business.
Another tip is to practice affirmations. Affirmative thoughts and action will get rid of negative thoughts. An example of an affirmative thought is “I am creating a successful business I love; a business that will support my life both now and in the future.” Then, write down how you want your business to be. For example, you can write down how you want your days to go, how you want certain projects to go or how you want to streamline your office, to make it more efficient and productive.
Be specific when you are setting your goals.
Clear goals will lead to achievement. As you write down your goals, ask yourself what beliefs and values you want your business to be founded on and what you want workers and customers to count on when it comes to your business—in other words your “brand promise.” This will help you create a business that has a vision. Then, imagine how wonderful it will feel when you succeed. Understanding the secret law of attraction takes time and patients.
Then, create a millionaire mindset. Another way to put it is to begin thinking and acting as if you have already accomplished a great business, one that is already used to success and rewards. Most importantly, keep focused on the purpose of your business. And, stay totally committed to your business, feeling in your heart and soul that you will do everything possible to make it work. This will mean, of course, hard work every day and a commitment to meet and exceed the demands of the day.
Hold on to your enthusiasm and joy about what you want your business to be.
When you exude happiness, joy and excitement about your business, it will spread and influence everyone you come in contact with, especially your customers and business associates.
To conclude, the laws of attraction in business is real and rewarding but keep in mind; even though there are high risks and expectations starting a new business, the process can be exciting, rewarding and fun. Let yourself go and enjoy the evolution of your business and hold on to your ambition and inspiration that will certainly be a huge reason why your new business will succeed!
